It is nothing like his previous two albums, I’m not even sure it is country, but I like it a lot. I think the thing I really appreciate about Simpson, is that he still understands the basic concept of an album. Streaming music is destroying the album as art-form…Simpson fights the tide.
Knowing it is coming doesn’t make the passing any less the sad.
