If our elected officials lack the common sense to regulate ride sharing companies in a sane fashion, then all autos should be taxed and public transit should be funded. It seems like we are going to wait until our cities are under water before we will act in the way everybody knows we should act now. Autos and planes are destroying our atmosphere while buses and trains languish. It is like we are living in some bizarro world where the wrong choices are being made at every level of government.
Tell me where the evil lies, is it with the climate change deniers or with those who know what is happening but still act like today’s choices don’t matter?

Who will really benefit from Warren’s student debt plan?
I support some limited debt forgiveness, BUT not until after we have universal preschool and free community college and/or trade school. Warren’s plan is a bailout for the privileged and irresponsible.
World health officials take a hard line on screen time for kids. Will busy parents comply?
Common sense. I suspect that when the evidence is in, these guidelines will be seen as being to lax. Just as important is parental modeling.
