NIST Password Guidelines

About time, NIST is updating its password guidelines. Mandatory for governmental agencies and followed by most large businesses. Highlights: no more periodic of changing of passwords, end of artificial complexity (upper case, lower case, number, symbol, etc…), and filter out “bad” passwords (12345678, P@ssword, w0rk5uck5, etc…)

As stated, “About Time!” If we have to have 100 passwords, the least we can do is move toward the rational use of them.
