Brilliant iconography. 26 years after the original 1984 commercial, it stays relevant. And with Apple increasingly choosing the Orwellian, it is an easy spoof. It will be interesting to see if Fearless Leader’s departure leads to Apple opening up. Or will it continue its locked down, proprietary, litigious, holier-than-thou behavior?
Either way, their behavior since landing on top of the heap lends itself to years of spoofing and easy ridicule. That smarmy smugness only works when you are a minority elite, it really does not work when your grandma has an iPhone.
